Dax's Dino Day (Birthday #3)

While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about.

~Angela Schwindt

I had a really hard time on Friday. The day began with me opening my eyes to Dax's eyes an inch away from mine. The first thing I said was "Happy Birthday Baby" and he said "Yeah, it's my birthday". We talked about how Ty and Noah were coming down and all of the sudden the flood gates opened and I was crying. How did this day come??? HOW??? I remember holding Dax the day he was born and totally not believing there was any way he was mine and now I'm struggling with the fact that he's not only going to be just mine. Words could never express the love that I have for this boy. For both of my boys. They both have taught me so much more than I could have ever thought possible. D's Birthday was a big reminder that these days are going by too fast and I really do just need to embrace it all and go with it...because...well...what else can I do. :)
Happy Third Birthday Dax... we love you more than you could ever know!

Opening and playing with some of the new toys...

Best of friends...

Playing with Todd and Nay's new pups...

This one is after his first salon hair cut... notice the hair clips. The stylist had to give them to him to keep him in the chair... the slurpee is because he actually let them cut his hair.

M.I.A

I can't believe how much time has passed since my last post. I wish I could say that the main things keeping my attention were super important experiences but... alas, I can't.
It all began with a dare from my ever so cute husband. He had been spending his free time at work watching the series "LOST". He would come home telling me that I needed to watch it. I believe his exact words were... "it will blow your mind"... but like I had time to add yet another show to my already long list of time wasters. Plus, I had a very vivid memory of my long lost love of 'Charly Salanger' (Matthew Fox, Party of Five, 1994) and I really didn't think it would be fair to Kevin to bring that back to life ;) Then the day came that Kevin said I was just scared. Always ready to prove people (most of the time just Kevin) wrong about me, I decided to start up the series... I think I watched 12 of the first 27 episodes in one night. I was determined to be caught up with the new sixth season... so I finished the five seasons in two weeks... yes... a little over the top but it was so worth it. I can honestly say that this is the coolest, deepest, and most entertaining show that has been on basic television EVER... If you know me you know that I love to call the plot of a show, and this show keeps me guessing. AWESOME...I should thank Kat and Catie for being so patient with me with all my questions... Kev finally cut me off and stopped watching them so I would stop bugging him. and I must also add that the crush did reignite for the oh so beautiful Matthew Fox, playing Jack Shephard.

Then the next obsession began...This one actually came as a shock to me. I do NOT read and yet, I finally fell prey to the popular saga of the Twilight series and finished all four books in a week and two days... yikes.. I probably shouldn't go into too much detail on that. Revealing too much of my feelings on this could prove that professional help may be needed. Words can't express how I can't wait for the "Eclipse" movie and plan to be wearing my "Team Edward" or if I can find one that says "My heart belongs to my husband but my neck belongs to Edward" :) shirt... thanks to my Mom, I carry with me, my very on "Team Edward" key chain...and I do it with pride :)

It may be surprising but there were some happenings with the family during this time away as well... Littly Wy guy got his first hair cut ;( That was a sad thing for me. Time just keeps going faster and faster...

We also got Dax potty trained. What a cinch that was compared to what I thought it would be. I'm sick to my stomach because I just realized I deleted the pictures I had of him getting some of his potty treats. Absent mindedness has come easily to me the last while... UG!!! anyway, He's doing great! Would you believe that he turns three tomorrow... I'm sure I'll have plenty to post on about that. :)
