....Serious Contemplation.....

So... little by little my hair is getting longer, which I've been wanting SO badly... but all of the sudden, I'm seriously contemplating cutting my hair.... SHORT... like the pixie cut short. I've always loved the cut, but up until recently, I haven't really ever let myself get to the point of actually letting myself think about it... I want it just like this cut. Michelle Williams is who got me wanting it. I remember when she first cut it. I was so jealous. What do you think... Check yes or no....well, obviously, there's not box...but what's your vote???? I can't decide.... I NEED A CHANGE! this one is just really scary to me... HELP!

My Pick for the Hunger Games Cast

Katniss:

Haymitch:

Gale:

President Coin:

President Snow:

Effie:

Cinna:

Peeta:

Honestly, the only one that I truly pictured from the beginning was Liam Hemsworth. I found myself trying to picture real actors so that I could make my list when I was done reading but I forced myself to stop... The one thing that I kept telling myself was that if they cast Kristen Stewart (which I kept seeing all over the place) I'd boycott the entire thing. So, really I didn't imagine any of these people while reading.. EXCEPT for Liam... he was Peeta the entire time for me... The picture I have for Haymitch, is totally what I had pictured, but I'm finding that a lot of people are putting Robert Downy Jr., which I can totally see. I know that I'll have too high of expectations, like I did for the "Twilight" movies, so I don't know why I even plan on seeing the movies... anyway, I thought it was fun to see what people put.

It's crazy how so many people can read the same book and have totally different ideas on what the characters look like... anyway... who do you all picture??? If you do decide to do this, tell me. I want to see who you see :)

Team Peeta! :)

School Days...

I know that Dax went to pre-school last year... BUT he didn't seem as big back then. He was so excited and about an hour from being home he told me he had to go into time out once... according to the teacher, he wasn't the only one... as long as the frog doesn't make it into the red...I'll be good ;)
Because D was getting ready for school, so was Dubby... he had to have his back pack on too... so cute. He just loves his big brother. He didn't seem to hate having me all to himself for that period of time though. :)

He said holding his arm like this made him smile better...

I got him to put it in his pocket this time and the smile still looked great so I think he might be off on his thinking....

This one gets me a little emotional... I can't lie.

Showing me their back packs...

He was too focused on the other kids to look at me...

He was a little nervous... I heard from one of the other Mom's, that after I left he had a little bit of a hard time.. it took almost all I had not to run back in...

Lead Me, Guide Me

Yesterday was quite the day... I'm still trying to adjust to Wyatt not taking naps and I can't lie, it's still killing me. I didn't realize how much I utilized that hour or two. Anyway, it was just a day as usual except Dax was up earlier because of that wonderful woodpecker I'd love to pull a Betty Draper on, (You'd have to know Mad Men to get that one) and because Dax was up, so was Wyatt. Lucky me had a full day of reffing the fighting, trying to get Dax to settle down about Back to School night http://butterfliesandbullfrogspreschool.blogspot.com/ and getting all caught up with my photography editing. I've been so tired that I don't really know how to push through half the time, but we did... my point is that it was a rough night and because we got home a little later than usual, the boys got to bed a lot later... I was getting ready for bed as if it was a race to see how fast I could get there when I heard Dax singing in his sweet, high pitched singing voice the following... "Row, Row, Row, Row your boat gently down the stream...merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily life look at the sky..." I let him sing it over and over till I decided I should probably teach him the real words... so I went in and we sang that and "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"and many, many others. If I were in a race to get to bed, I had lost by a landslide...there was a little bit of a silence when I recognized that there was one song I wanted to teach him. One that I know he's heard because I sang it to him all the time when he was still a baby. It almost always calmed him down when I whispered it right in his ear. I told him we were going to learn a new song and I began to sing "I am a child of God..." we went through the song line by line till he could sing along with me.... I started to cry and told him that I wanted him to know that Heavenly Father loves him and that whenever he needs him he's just a prayer away... he said "I want to sing Child of God again" so we did... and I can tell you there would be no way to number the times I've sang that song in my 27 years of life, but I do know that there has never been a time I've felt the love of our Savior stronger, while singing that song, than when my little Daxer was singing it.
It was a long day but it ended in the sweetest way possible. I got to hear the sweetest words sung by one of my sweetest boys and I got to feel the love of my Father in Heaven in a way I never had. It was a great and memorable experience for me.

I am a child of God,
And he has sent me here,
Has given me an earthly home
With parents kind and dear.
Lead me, guide me, walk beside me,
Help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do
To live with him someday.
