Mother Goose

When I was little, I absolutely LOVED my very own "Mother Goose". (I know what you're thinking and No, I did not have an imaginary goose friend that I called Mother) the reason you ask? Because she actually talked to me...well, she told me stories... well, stories that were on tapes that she was programed to tell me... but still it was outstandingly amazing to me. My favorite story was "Sleeping Beauty", I would follow along as Mother Goose read and turned the pages when she "honked" (ha, ha... you know, because that's what geese say)
Dax loves to look at books and because he does, so does Dubby... I had the brilliant idea of asking my Mom if she had held onto my sweet Mother Goose...she had and she brought her over and now my Mother Goose (I've literally debated with Dax over the fact that she IS mine...he's just borrowing her) is the story teller at bed time... MAN do I appreciate that! Dax loves that her mouth moves and that she sings the songs.
It was quite the blast from the past to be watching the excitement in the boys eyes and remembering quite well how that feeling surged through me at one time... oh a good 23 years ago. I remembered it so well, I got a little teary... that's been happening a lot lately. I get so sentimental.
So as you'll see, her eyes have turned yellow with age and she's missing an eye lash, but she still works... and as Kevin said: I wonder how many toys they make now days will still work 23 years from now. I guess we will see.... but I certainly hope that my sweet Mother Goose still does :)

Wyatt could not believe that she was actually talking to him... he kept touching her beak...

These are the sweetest pictures Ash. Love that your mom kept your "mother goose". :)
